NSW Subclass 491 Update: Pathway 1 Closed, Pathway 2 Invitations Begin
The New South Wales (NSW) Business and Skilled Migration program has reached its allocation for the Skilled Work Regional Visa (Subclass 491) - Pathway 1 for the 2024 –2025 program year. As a result, no further applications will be accepted under Pathway 1. Applicants who have already submitted their applications will still be processed, though due to high demand, processing times may exceed the usual 6-week timeframe.
NSW Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (Subclass 491) - Pathway 2 Invitations Now Open
Excitingly, invitations for Subclass 491 Pathway 2 have commenced, with the first round already conducted. Additional invitation rounds will occur every 4 weeks until NSW’s allocation is filled. To improve the chances of receiving an invitation, applicants should ensure that their SkillSelect Expression of Interest (EOI) is accurate and up to date.
