Although my time with AHC was short, I found the people there to be incredibly friendly and easy to get along with. My initial reaction, of which I still maintain, is that AHC really knows their stuff! The people there are incredibly experienced and well-versed in the migration field. I have experienced first-hand the creativity in their thinking so that they can achieve each clients’ goal no matter the situation they are in or circumstance they have. It was a pleasure working with all the great people there.

My journey with AHC Lawyers was a lovely time. The breadth and depth of knowledge that I obtained under the tutelage of two excellent accredited specialists, Jason and Angela, were beyond my imagination. Although the learning curve was definitely steep, I felt supported every step of the way from my first PLT days to my last days as an associate. I truly do not think I would have been able to grow to the extent that I did at any other firm. It was not easy but if you think you are up for a challenge, the firm will reward you with experience and knowledge like no other.

My journey with AHC has been memorable. Agape is, in my opinion, the best place to obtain knowledge if one has an appetite. I wish everyone at the firm nothing but inner peace, happiness and contentment with life.

Her practice areas involved advising small and medium enterprise of various regulatory requirements and compliance issues. She was instrumental to the creation of Agape Henry Crux and carried through the firm through the dissolution of 2 partnerships. Queenie joined Agape Henry & Co as a PLT intern. Having graduated from University of Tasmania, she started off her legal career regarded by her peers as reserved. She was initially trained by Emily Tan, but having demonstrated years of dedication and loyalty, she came to Jason’s attention and became Jason’s greatest master piece. She sat with Jason and became the highest fee earner, simply through being exposed to Jason’s business deals. Her productivity and time management is unmatched till date. Starting at 10:30 am, she left at 6:00 pm sharp, she was never allowed her work to pile up and had no boundaries with clients. At 25 years of age, she closed large accounts without any assistance. She brought in are major corporations with business in eateries, transport, night life, flower delivery, chocolate, women clothing manufacturer, major developers & contractors, large education providers, etc. She was head-hunted by Deloitte where unsurprisingly, she is the MVP to the managing partner. Her growth is a testament and blueprint for all immigration practitioners in Australia. She is currently married to the firm’s Practice Group Director.

Jia joined Agape Henry & Co as an unpaid intern, participating in the 14 weeks intensive training even though she was a solicitor with 2 years PQE. She was trained by Queenie Chan and eventually became Jason’s protege. She worked for Ernest & Young and Fragomens. The role she played with the firm created the opportunities for our current troops. She opened the doors to digital marketing.

2017 to 2021

After graduating from LLB at University of Sydney, I started working at Agape Henry Crux to gain practical legal training experience in 2017. I was then hand-picked by our founder, Jason Ling, to be trained rigorously for the 14 weeks internship program. This was super intense with many late nights (sometimes till 4am) but I learnt so much out of these 14 weeks, more than one could ever imagine. Not only was I mentored in immigration law and handling real life cases, I was also taught many soft skills by Jason. At the end of 2017, I was admitted as a lawyer and began handling cases on my own. Because I was personally groomed by Jason, my career progressed very fast and soon I was promoted to Senior Associate position.

I remember Jason telling me that after the 14 weeks, I would effectively be more knowledgeable and experienced than a 2 year practising RMA. That proved to be true. Shortly after finishing my 14 weeks program (before I was even admitted as a lawyer), Jason put me into a CPD class where I could really sense that I was at the top of the class with knowledge surpassing those around me.

Very early on in my days with Agape, I had approximately $250,000 worth of billable cases per month. Immigration law is a very stressful industry and I must say that it requires perseverance and resilience to be able to survive. Jason had put me through the most stresses throughout the 14 weeks which well-prepared for what was to come in my career. I was exposed to things such as business management, digital marketing, workflow optimisation, business development strategies etc. from very early on.

It has also brought me to where I am now with a sincere passion for complex cases such as judicial review, AAT review, immigration detention, character cancellations and refusals.

When I first came to Australia, I was very fortunate to be given an opportunity to had an unforgettable interview session with the founder of the firm. Subsequently, I was granted a chance to join this prestigious firm, Agape Henry Crux. I am very glad to be given an opportunity to get myself acclimatised to the new working culture while fresh off the boat.

Along my journey with Agape, I am very blessed to have direct access to the Accredited Specialists in Immigration Law. The knowledge gained from the firm is invaluable. Of course, joining the firm also provides me a platform to horn my skills and build a strong relationship with the team.

I am grateful for everything provided by Agape. The training and guidance provided by the founder, the directors and the seniors are nowhere to be found. If not for pursuing my curiosity in other areas of law, I would definitely stay on and continue to be nourished with the wisdom in immigration law from one of the best in the industry.

Which chapter of our lives:

2017 to 2021

I started my journey with Kris Ahn back in 2016 and officially again in 2017 when he started Crux. Kris is an amazing boss and friend. There is no amount of words that could describe his genuinity and willingness to help his clients and employees.

The journey at Agapae Henry Crux started in 2019 and I was fortunate enough to work with Jason who is, no doubt, one of the smartest people I know. Despite his busy schedule as the founder of the firm, I was always prioritized and he was always there to help and support me throughout my career at AHC.

I’d like to thank Jason for his guidance and time. His trust and support have allowed me to grow not only within my role but also as a person.

Lastly, I’d like to thank everyone at the firm for their friendship, patience, support and guidance. You all have made this journey extremely fruitful and memorable.

For anyone who is looking to join, Agapae Henry Crux is the stepping stone towards your future in immigration law. Good luck!
