Paying by Credit Card
COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Before making a payment, what payment reference number to include?
To assist us to identify your payment, please include the '“payment identifier number” provided by your responsible lawyer or registered migration agent.
You may also identify the payment identifier number within our Client Care Letter, which includes the Costs Disclosure and Costs Agreement, also referred to as “Costs Agreement”. You will find the payment identifier number located on the last page, under the heading “[F] MAKING A PAYMENT”.
For example:
If your responsible lawyer is Angela De Silva, the reference number to include is “89187”
Does credit card surcharge apply?
If you choose to make payment by way of credit card, the following surcharges will be applied to the total amount payable:
(i) EFTPOS – 30 cents for debit cards
(ii) Visa – 1.20%
(iii) MasterCard – 1.20%
(iv) AMEX – 2.75%
Surcharges are automatically applied.
What happens after a payment is made?
Include your email address to receive a copy of the payment receipt. This is referred to as the “Customer Copy Receipt”.
Send a copy of this payment receipt to your responsible lawyer/registered migration agent to allow them to commence working on your matter.
It may take a day or so for the payment to settle in our Trust account. Once it is settled, our accounts department will issue you a Trust account receipt. This receipt merely says that the payment you’ve made sits in our Trust account until each block of service is complete. Thereafter, a tax invoice will be issued to you.
Security Policy
When making a payment to us, you are taken to our Westpac bank’s secured online payment website and your card details are transmitted through their secure server. Card data is not hosted by us and it is not kept by us after processing. Please visit our bank’s website for more details: Westpac PayWay & 3D Secure

As stated in our Costs Agreement, please be reminded to take the time to read our General Terms of Business.
This is to be read together with your Cost Agreement.
Are there any other methods of payment?
Alternatively, you may choose to make a payment through bank transfer. If you make payment bank transfer, there will be no surcharge on your payment. However, please check with your bank if fees applies.
