Jason Ling is an Accredited Specialist in Immigration Law, the founder and principal of Agape Henry Crux, and a recognised Best Lawyers in Immigration Law in Australia. Having migrated to Australia himself, Jason brings not only legal expertise but also a deep personal connection to the immigration journey.

Jason is one of fewer than 100 lawyers in Australia to hold Specialist Accreditation in Immigration Law, known for his intellect and forensic commitment to the discipline. His practice focuses on highly complex matters, including s.501 character cases, visa cancellations, detention and removal, compliance audits, ART (General Division) matters, and judicial review.

Jason maintains a boutique, low-volume practice, accepting only a select number of clients each year in order to foster close, strategic relationships and deliver tailored outcomes. In addition to his legal practice, he is an educator and mentor within the profession. He provides private tuition to registered migration agents (RMA) and immigration lawyers, and delivers lectures for Legal Training Australia (LTA) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs through Legalwise Seminars. Jason also mentors early-career lawyers, offering structured professional guidance in the formal mentoring framework.

Jason holds two appointments in the migration profession:

  • He is a member of the Specialist Accreditation Immigration Law Advisory Committee under the Law Society of New South Wales. The Committee operates to assess applications for specialist accreditation in the area of immigration law.

  • He also serves on the Capstone Assessment Review Panel, established by Legal Training Australia (LTA). The Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) requires LTA to appoint a panel of Accredited Specialists in Immigration Law to review, edit, and approve the Capstone Assessment, the national competency exam for individuals seeking registration as Registered Migration Agents (RMAs).

True to her roots, Sarah being a tenacious person – studied at the University of Technology Sydney and left the heart of Malaysia in 2016 to further her studies and took up a Bachelor of Communications in Digital and Social Media.

She started her digital marketing calling as a copywriter/blogger by producing and managing her own written work at 15. Her resilience sparked her ideals to climb the corporate ladder as a Digital Marketing Coordinator in a VR tech start-up company based in Sydney, Australia.

Soon she has intensely honed her skills in the tech industry for more than 3 years and has been particularly accustomed to working with Google tools, HubSpot, WordPress and more. Sarah's dedication to expanding her career growth paved the way for her to join the Agape Henry Crux team in June 2022 where she was appointed as the Marketing Coordinator.

As a migrant herself, she recognises the clients' desire to have a winning case, and her experience has aided her understanding of Australian Immigration Law better. She has devoted her learning to streamlining the firms' varied services so that clients and employees have the best experience with Agape Henry Crux.

Dig Deeper into the team

Sarah enjoys spending time leisurely with her close friends in a café eating good food. But as an introvert, nothing beats a cup of brewed tea and binge-watching the latest Netflix series at home. She also hopes to spend the holidays with her family in Australia in the near future.
